Ann Haber Stanton

Ann spent many years researching the history of Jewish pioneers in the Black Hills. She has written two books to preserve the history; one is Jewish Pioneers of the Black Hills Gold Rush, published in 2011. The second, published 2019, Deadwood's Jewish Pioneers: A Gold Rush Odyssey. She worked with Mr. Klinger to have point of interest plaques installed in Deadwood which depicts the business locations and history. Through her participation in Leadership Rapid City, Ann was instrumental in establishing Founders Park Plaza, a 75 x 100-foot concrete plaza commemorating Rapid City's founding in 1976. The plaza was dedicated in 2011.
