 Statewide Honor Wall

Women have been at the forefront of history since the beginning. They’ve raised families, worked on farms, were homesteaders, business leaders, advocates, political supporters, and public service workers. But despite their contributions, their recognition in history has been limited.  No longer, though.

Each of us knows women who have lit the path to a brighter future.  Now’s the time to share their light and illuminate their contributions by honoring them in our statewide honor wall.

Let’s change the narrative and celebrate the women who came before us, raised us, inspired us, supported us, encouraged us, and paved the way for us to hold new roles and use our voices to inspire change. Honor a woman who impacted you here.

Honor a Woman and Lend Your Support

Lift up a woman who has impacted South Dakota’s history, past, present or future to be a part of our statewide Honor Wall. We will capture stories of our great grandmothers, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and daughters.

While contributions of any amount are appreciated, a minimum contribution of $100 for each name is necessary in order to appear on the Statewide Honor Wall. If you have questions please email Catherine.Forsch@state.sd.us.
