Dorothy ‘Rowdy’ Brewick

While wife, mother, and grandmother, are worthy roles on their own, they don’t even begin to describe the impact that Brewick has had on South Dakota. In addition to more than a 30-year career in Education, she has been a long-time women’s rights advocate, with no end in sight. “Just because you make progress does not mean it’s going to say in place. So we have to watch daily, weekly, monthly, yearly to protect women’s equality,” Brewick has said. This speaker, author, activist continues to lead efforts through chairing, volunteering, and organizing events and passing policies aimed at protecting the rights of women and girls.
