Women of Whisky: Whisky Tasting Flight

  • CNA Surety Building 101 South Reid Street Sioux Falls, SD, 57103 United States (map)
Women of Whisky

A hundred years ago, after decades of pushing, the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was passed, endowing women with the right to vote. Women had a complicated relationship with whiskey before and after 1920, both in the USA and internationally. And only recently has there been an eruption of what was once thought impossible: female distillers leading major distilleries. For our August Sioux Falls Whisky Society meeting, we will open our doors to friends of the suffrage movement, and drink whiskies produced by these innovative, intrepid souls - both the suffragists and women of whisky.
