Honoring: Marcella LeBeau

Marcella LeBeau is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, a Lakota of the Two Kettle Band. She is a World War II Veteran who served the United States Army Nurse Corps and is retired as the Director of Nursing from Indian Health Service, Eagle Butte, SD, after thirty-one years.

My work is on an inspirational Army veteran, politician, and intelligent woman. This woman is Marcella LaBeau. Marcella is an inspirtion to me because she stood up for women's rights and was an admired person in the Army field. She also banned smoking in several tribes for their health and safety.
